Mr Yukiya Amano (IAEA Director General) and Mr Mohamad Nasir (Indonesian Minister for Research, Technology and Higher Education) participated in the official signing ceremony in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Practical Arrangements cover a three-year period (2018-2021), providing a framework for the two parties' relationship and identifying the following activities in which cooperation may be pursued: Provision of short- and long-term graduate and post-graduate education programmes and training programmes in the fields of food and agriculture (including plant mutation breeding, soil and nutrient management, animal health and production); industrial applications and non-destructive testing; radiation and nuclear safety; nuclear regulatory infrastructure; radiological and emergency preparedness; radiation processing; radiation medicine; marine and terrestrial environmental monitoring and management; radioactive waste management; and research reactor applications; Provision of experts and lecturers to conduct education and training programmes and advisory missions to other developing countries including least developed countries and small island developing states); and Use of laboratory analytical facilities in Indonesia to conduct collaborative activities.
