“Berbahagialah orang yang berdukacita, karena mereka akan dihibur” (Mat. 5:4)
Pentheo = to mourn to mourn = 1). to feel and/ or show grief especially for the dead of someone; be sorrowful 2). To grieve for (the dead, loss, etc., of someone)
The "mourning" in the Third Beatitude is in Luke (6:25) opposed to laughter and similar frivolous worldly joy.
Motives of mourning are not to be drawn from the miseries of a life of poverty, abjection, and subjection, which are the very blessings of verse 3, but rather from those miseries from which the pious man is suffering in himself and in others, and most of all the tremendous might of evil throughout the world.
MAKNA DUKACITA ORANG BENAR?
“Ia tidak bersukacita karena ketidakadilan, tetapi karena kebenaran” (I Kor. 13:6).
Dia menderita bukan karena dirinya dilukai, tetapi karena kebenaran dan keadilan, atau karena nama Tuhan dicemooh (Mat. 5:10, Mzm. 53:2).

Lalu ia berkata kepadaku: “Mereka ini adalah orang-orang yang keluar dari kesusahan besar; dan mereka telah mencuci jubah mereka dan membuatnya putih di dalam darah Anak Domba” (Why. 7:14).
