What is your perspective on the relationship between medical student and patient?

Anggaplah pasien sebagai ‘guru’ kita juga. Hubungan dokter dengan pasien : Berdasarkan 4 nilai : Autonomy, Justice, Beneficent dan Non – maleficent Dimulai dengan adanya ‘Fiduciary’ yang berarti saling percaya hingga dapat membuat sebuah “shared decision – making”. Sebagai mahasiswa kedokteran , hubungan dengan pasien tetap harus terjaga. Informasikan secara jujur dan ‘straightforward’ bahwa kita mahasiswa kedokteran. Anggaplah pasien sebagai ‘guru’ kita juga. Tetap harus ditanamkan dan diaplikasikan empat prinsip hubungan dokter – pasien dan profesionalisme.

how his supervisor introduces him to a patient can hugely affect their perception. introduced as a “student doctor” as opposed to a “medical student” Why? The word “student” has negative connotations among patients, whereas the word “doctor” breeds trust and respect.

What would you say and do to get respect from patient?

Ketahui perhatian, rasa takut dan kecemasan pasien Menunujukan sopan santun Harus bersikap sopan Hargai privasi pasien, rahasia pasien harus di jaga Berfikir bahwa diri kita sebagai tuan rumah dan pasien adalah sebagai tamu Bedside manner Validasi: harus memiliki anggapan yang non-judgemental kepada pasien Harus membiarkan pasien untuk “save face” (menjaga harga dirinya), jangan membuatnya terlihat bodoh Ketahui perhatian, rasa takut dan kecemasan pasien Berikan pujian untuk suatu pencapaian pasien

selalu jujur dan bersungguh-sungguh harus memberikan jawaban yanglangsung, terbuka dan akurat jelaskan kepada pasien jika ada sedikit kesalahan, dan ceritakan kepada atasan mengenai kesalahan yang besar.
