9 The effects of technology on people can be both good and bad.
Some of the good effects are longer, healthier lives, easier work, and more leisure time. Some of bad effects are pollution, accidental deaths, and the potential for world destruction. One of the main reasons for studying technology is to learn how to make sure that its effects on people will be good.
