1 BASIC CONCEPT OF GEOGRAPHY KONSEP DASAR GEOGRAFI
Geography has 10 basic concept which makes it different with other sciences. They are location, distance, achievable, pattern, morphology, agglomeration, function, interaction/ interdependence, and areal differentiation. Geografi memiliki 10 konsep dasar yang menjadi ciri khas sehingga membedakannya dengan ilmu-ilmu lain. 10 konsep dasr itu adalah lokasi, jarak, keterjangkauan,pola, morfologi, aglomerasi, nilai kegunaan, interaksi/ interpedensi, dan diferensiasi areal.

Lokasi suatu obyek akan berpengaruh terhadap nilai obyek tersebut Distance can influence the value of and time to acces it Jarak akan mempengaruhi nilai suatu obyek atau mempengaruhi kebutuhan akan waktu Accessibility is influenced by suitable facility Keterjangkauan suatu daerah dipengaruhi oleh sarana yang sesuai

4 Distribution pattern of settlement is influenced by nature condition
Pola persebaran pemukiman penduduk dipengaruhi oleh keadaan alamnya Morphology (landform) has strong influence on its benefit of humanlife Morfologi (bentuk lahan) sangat berpengaruh terhadap pemanfaatannya bagi manusia Aglomeration of population tends to follow their actifity and social status Aglomerasi kehidupan penduduk dan tempat tinggalnya cenderung menurut mata pencaharian atau status sosial

5 The value of utility and benefit of a region is different to each other
Nilai kegunaan dan manfaat suatu tempat berbeda bagi setiap orang Interaction is mutual relationship between man and environment wich produces new phenomena Interaksi antara manusia dan lingkungan akan menimbulkan pergerakan manusia, barang atau gagasan

6 Areal differentiation is related to the differences of geographical phenomena between one region and another on earth’s surface Diferensiasi areal yaitu perbedaan fenomena menurut wilayahnya Spatial interrelationship happens because of the differences, therefore the interdependency exists Keterkaitan ruang terjadi karena adanya perbedaan antar wilayah sehingga saling membutuhkan
