2 Pilih – Lingkungan Tubuh
Choice – In the Body Dan janganlah kamu takut kepada mereka yang dapat membunuh tubuh, tetapi yang tidak berkuasa membunuh jiwa; takutlah terutama kepada Dia yang berkuasa membinasakan baik jiwa maupun tubuh di dalam neraka. (Matius 10:28 [IndTB]) Manusia pertama berasal dari debu tanah dan bersifat jasmani, manusia kedua berasal dari sorga (1 Korintus 15:47 [IndTB]) Karena sama seperti semua orang mati dalam persekutuan dengan Adam, demikian pula semua orang akan dihidupkan kembali dalam persekutuan dengan Kristus (1 Korintus 15:22 [IndTB]) ... Jika ada tubuh alamiah, maka ada pula tubuh rohaniah (1 Korintus 15:44 [IndTB]) Karena kita tahu, bahwa manusia lama kita telah turut disalibkan, supaya tubuh dosa kita hilang kuasanya, agar jangan kita menghambakan diri lagi kepada dosa (Roma 6:6 [IndTB]) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28 [AKJV]) The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven (1 Corinthians 15:47 [AKJV]) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive (1 Corinthians 15:22 [AKJV]) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:44 [AKJV]) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin (Romans6:6 [AKJV]) Tubuh, lingkungan yang menentukan! Sejarah tubuh manusia di Alkitab History of human body in the Bible 1) Tubuh manusia diciptakan oleh Allah dan ada rumah jiwa dan roh manusia. a) Tubuh dari debu tanah ... ketika itulah TUHAN Allah membentuk manusia itu dari debu tanah. (Kejadian 2:7) b) jiwa dari Tuhan dan menghembuskan nafas hidup ke dalam hidungnya; demikianlah manusia itu menjadi makhluk yang hidup (Kejadian 2:7 [IndTB]) Maka Allah melihat segala yang dijadikan- Nya itu, sungguh amat baik (Kejadian 1:31 [IndTB]) 2) Tubuh dan jiwa manusia dicemarkan ketika manusia jatuh ke dalam dosa. a) Tubuh mati secara jesmani karena dari situlah engkau diambil; sebab engkau debu dan engkau akan kembali menjadi debu." (Kejadian 3:19 [IndTB]) b) Jiwa mati secara rohani Kamu dahulu sudah mati karena pelanggaran-pelanggaran dan dosa-dosamu. Importance of human choices Kepentingan pilihan manusia. 1) Karena manusia hamba dosa dan akan dihukum maut kalau tidak memilih tawaran kasih-karunia Tuhan. Dahulu memang kamu hamba dosa, (Roma 6:17 [IndTB]) Kamu dahulu sudah mati karena pelanggaran-pelanggaran dan dosa- dosamu Pada dasarnya kami adalah orang-orang yang harus dimurkai, ... Tetapi Allah yang kaya dengan rahmat, oleh karena kasih-Nya yang besar, yang dilimpahkan- Nya kepada kita, (Efesus 2:1, 3-4 [IndTB]) 2) Karena manusia tidak sanggup memerdekakan diri dari dosanya. Aku, manusia celaka! Siapakah yang akan melepaskan aku dari tubuh maut ini? (Roma 7:24 [IndTB]) Dan bahwa tidak ada orang yang dibenarkan di hadapan Allah karena melakukan hukum Taurat adalah jelas, karena: "Orang yang benar akan hidup oleh iman." (Galatia 3:11 [IndTB]) 1) Because humans are the servants of sin and their sin will be judged if they do not receive Christ’s offer of grace. But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. (Romans 6:17 [AKJV]) And you has he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; ... and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, (Ephesians 2:1-4 [AKJV]) 2) Because humans are not able to free themselves from sin. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? (Romans 7:24 [AKJV]) But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. (Galatians 3:11 [AKJV])

Importance of human choices Kepentingan pilihan manusia. 3) Karena pilihan manusia di tubuh ini akan menentukan keadaan tubuh dan jiwa kita di dunia yang akan datang. Karena barangsiapa mau menyelamatkan nyawanya, ia akan kehilangan nyawanya; ... Apa gunanya seorang memperoleh seluruh dunia, tetapi ia membinasakan atau merugikan dirinya sendiri? Sebab barangsiapa malu karena Aku dan karena perkataan-Ku, Anak Manusia juga akan malu karena orang itu, apabila Ia datang kelak dalam kemuliaan-Nya (Lukas 9:24-26 [IndTB]) ... dan mengadakan pembalasan terhadap mereka yang tidak mau mengenal Allah dan tidak mentaati Injil Yesus, Tuhan kita. Mereka ini akan menjalani hukuman kebinasaan selama-lamanya, dijauhkan dari hadirat Tuhan dan dari kemuliaan kekuatan-Nya, apabila Ia datang pada hari itu (2 Tesalonika 1:8-10) Apakah Kaulakukan keajaiban bagi orang- orang mati? Masakan arwah bangkit untuk bersyukur kepada-Mu? Sela Dapatkah kasih- Mu diberitakan di dalam kubur, dan kesetiaan- Mu di tempat kebinasaan? Diketahui orangkah keajaiban-keajaiban-Mu dalam kegelapan, dan keadilan-Mu di negeri segala lupa? (Mazmur 88:10-12 [IndTB]) 3) Because the choices men make in this body will determine the condition of the soul and body in the world to come. For whoever will save his life shall lose it: but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? For whoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. (Luke 9:24-26 [AKJV]) In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come … (2 Thessalonians 1:8-10 [AKJV]) Will you show wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise you? Selah. Shall your loving kindness be declared in the grave? or your faithfulness in destruction? Shall your wonders be known in the dark? and your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? (Psalms 88:10-12 [AKJV])

Bagaimanakah kita dapat memilih dengan tepat? How can we make right choices? 1) Jangan salah mengenai sumber dosa anda. Dosa kita dari dalam, bukan dari luar kita. "Apa yang keluar dari seseorang, itulah yang menajiskannya, sebab dari dalam, dari hati orang, timbul segala pikiran jahat, percabulan, pencurian, pembunuhan, perzinahan, keserakahan, kejahatan, kelicikan, hawa nafsu, iri hati, hujat, kesombongan, kebebalan. Semua hal-hal jahat ini timbul dari dalam dan menajiskan orang." (Markus 7:20-23 [IndTB]) 2) Jangan mengabaikan atau menolak kebaikan Tuhan dalam dunia ini. Maukah engkau menganggap sepi kekayaan kemurahan-Nya, kesabaran-Nya dan kelapangan hati-Nya? Tidakkah engkau tahu, bahwa maksud kemurahan Allah ialah menuntun engkau kepada pertobatan? Tetapi oleh kekerasan hatimu yang tidak mau bertobat, engkau menimbun murka atas dirimu sendiri pada hari waktu mana murka dan hukuman Allah yang adil akan dinyatakan (Roma 2:4-5 [IndTB]) 1) Do not confuse the source of your sin. Sin is from within man, not from without And he said, That which comes out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man (Mark 7:20-23 [AKJV]) 2) Do not ignore or reject God’s goodness in this world. Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and long-suffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasure up to yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; (Romans 2:4-5 [AKJV])

Bagaimanakah kita dapat memilih dengan tepat? How can we make right choices? 3) Dengan menerima kasih karunia Tuhan. Tetapi Allah yang kaya dengan rahmat, oleh karena kasih-Nya yang besar, yang dilimpahkan-Nya kepada kita, telah menghidupkan kita bersama-sama dengan Kristus, sekalipun kita telah mati oleh kesalahan-kesalahan kita--oleh kasih karunia kamu diselamatkan--dan di dalam Kristus Yesus Ia telah membangkitkan kita juga dan memberikan tempat bersama-sama dengan Dia di sorga, supaya pada masa yang akan datang Ia menunjukkan kepada kita kekayaan kasih karunia-Nya yang melimpah-limpah sesuai dengan kebaikan-Nya terhadap kita dalam Kristus Yesus. Sebab karena kasih karunia kamu diselamatkan oleh iman; itu bukan hasil usahamu, tetapi pemberian Allah, itu bukan hasil pekerjaanmu: jangan ada orang yang memegahkan diri. (Efesus 2:4-9 [IndTB]) 4) Dengan hidup dalam kasih karunia Tuhan. Oleh Dia kita juga beroleh jalan masuk oleh iman kepada kasih karunia ini. Di dalam kasih karunia ini kita berdiri dan kita bermegah dalam pengharapan akan menerima kemuliaan Allah (Roma 5:2 [IndTB]) 3) By receiving God’s grace. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:4-9 [AKJV]) 4) By living in the grace of God. By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:2 [AKJV])

Apakah hasil pilihan yang baik dalam tubuh ini? What is the result of making good choices? 1) Kita sungguh merdeka dari penghukuman dosa dan maut. Roh, yang memberi hidup telah memerdekakan kamu dalam Kristus dari hukum dosa dan hukum maut (Roma 8:2 [IndTB]) 2) Kita hidup dalam Roh, bukan daging. Tetapi kamu tidak hidup dalam daging, melainkan dalam Roh, Tetapi jika Kristus ada di dalam kamu, maka tubuh memang mati karena dosa, tetapi roh adalah kehidupan oleh karena kebenaran. Dan jika Roh Dia, ... diam di dalam kamu, maka Ia, ... akan menghidupkan juga tubuhmu yang fana itu oleh Roh-Nya, yang diam di dalam kamu (Roma 8:9-11 [IndTB]) 3) Tuhan dimuliakan dalam tubuh kita sekarang. Sebab kamu telah dibeli dan harganya telah lunas dibayar: Karena itu muliakanlah Allah dengan tubuhmu! (1 Korintus 6:20 [IndTB]) 4) Kita punyai masa depan yang baik. Semoga Allah damai sejahtera menguduskan kamu seluruhnya dan semoga roh, jiwa dan tubuhmu terpelihara sempurna dengan tak bercacat pada kedatangan Yesus Kristus, Tuhan kita (1 Tesalonika 5:23 [IndTB]) 1) We are truly free from the judgment of sin and death. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2 [AKJV]) 2) We walk in the Spirit, not the flesh. But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you. (Romans 8:9-11 [AKJV]) 3) We have a bright future. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23 ) 4) God is glorified in our bodies in this world. For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's (1 Corinthians 6:20 [AKJV])

11 Missi bulan ini / Missionary this month
Mike and Daisy Valdez – Cambodia All our 57 children at Power of Grace Children’s Home are doing well.  The children all seem to be growing quite so fast.  Another four of the children have just finished their high school and are now in college.  Please continue to help pray for the needs of Power of Grace Children’s Home.  We trust that with your prayers and help the Lord will supply much needed funds to take care of these children that the Lord has given under our care.  We want to thank all of you who have been so faithful in helping us in this ministry.
