16 Upaya manipulasi folikulogenesis yang menyebabkan peningkatan jumlah ovulasi atau yang disebut induksi superovulasi diketahui sebagai salah satu teknik dalam artificial reproduksi. Tujuan dari induksi superovulasi ini untuk meningkatkan jumlah sel telur yang siap dibuahi. Dalam aplikasi di bidang peternakan dapat digunakan untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan. Teknik superovulasi ada beberapa macam, yang kami lakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan penggunaan hormon yaitu Human Chorionic Gonadotropine (hCG) dan Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropine (PMSG) pada 6 mencit betina. Tiga belas jam sebelum hari pembedahan diberikan suntikan hCG sebanyak 5 IU dan 46 jam sebelum hari pembedahan diberikan PMSG sebanyak 5 IU. Pembedahan dilakukan untuk mengisolasi oviduct dan mengeluarkan oosit didalamnya. Teknik isolasi oosit juga dapat dilakukan dengan teknik aspirasi, pada percobaan ini kami lakukan pada ovarium kambing betina yang berukuran relatif lebih besar.

The egg itself shows a central granular deutoplasmic area and a peripheral clear layer, and encloses the germinal vesicle, in which is seen the germinal spot.
