2 NARRATIVE TEXT Narrative Text is the text that tells something imaginative essay or something that only the creator and the only purpose is to entertain the reader. Narrative Text adalah teks yang menceritakan sesuatu yang imajinatif atau sesuatu yang hanya karangan si pembuat dan tujuannya hanya untuk menghibur pembaca.

3 GENERIC STRUCTURE Orientation Namely the introduction of the form: a story about what (what is the story about), who the actors in the story (who is the participant), of the story (where is the place setting) and the story when it happened (when is the time settings ). Orientation Yaitu pengenalan yang berupa : cerita tentang apa (what is the story about), siapa pelaku dalam cerita itu (who is the participant), dimana cerita itu terjadi (where is the place setting) dan kapan cerita itu terjadi (when is the time setting).

4 GENERIC STRUCTURE . Complication That is the problem / conflict in the story. This section is the core of the story narrative. . Complication Yaitu permasalahan/konflik yang terjadi pada cerita. Bagian ini merupakan inti dari cerita narrative.

5 GENERIC STRUCTURE Resolution Ie a solution or resolution of a problem or conflicts that arise in the story. In Narrative text, any problems that appear to be no solution, can be closed with a happy ending (happy ending) or not slightly ended tragically, the sad (sad ending). Resolution Yaitu solusi atau penyelesaian dari suatu masalah atau konfik yang timbul dalam cerita. Dalam Narrative text, setiap permasalahan yang muncul harus ada penyelesaiannya, bisa ditutup dengan akhir yang menyenangkan (happy ending) atau tidak sedikit berakhir tragis, menyedihkan (sad ending).

6 GENERIC STRUCTURE . Re-Orientation This is the cover story and the statement is optional. It consists of moral lessons, advice or instruction from the author . Re-Orientation  Ini adalah pernyataan penutup cerita dan itu hanyalah opsional. Ini terdiri dari pelajaran moral, nasihat atau pengajaran dari penulis

7 LANGGUAGE FEATURE a. Using sentence patterns Simple Past Tense
Menggunakan pola kalimat Simple Past Tense b. Usually begins with the adverb of time (Adverbs of Time). Such as: long time ago ..., once, one, once upon a time. Biasanya dimulai dengan kata keterangan waktu (Adverbs of Time) . Seperti : long time ago..., once, one, once upon a time c. Using conjunctive time Menggunakan kata penghubung waktu d. Sometimes there is dialogue character in a story (narrative text) Terkadang ada dialog antar tokoh dalam cerita (narrative text)

8 Function or purpose The purpose is to entertain, create, stimulate emotions, motivate, give and teach readers.A narrative text usually has moral value Tujuannya adalah untuk menghibur, membuat, merangsang emosi, memotivasi, memberi dan mengajari pembaca. Sebuah teks naratif biasanya memiliki nilai moral.
