Definition : Cosmetics of home made, directly from fresh or dried engridience such as fruits or herbs around us. Traditional Cosmetics are classified as follow : a. Cosmetics which prevent hair fall / bald 1). Tamarind (Tamarindus indica L.) a. Take ripe tamarind b. Peel out, the meat is round c. Dry it until change color into dark brown d. 2). Kembang sepatu (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.) a. Take a fistful of bunga sepatu leaf color white, wash it b. Crush until smooth, add 1 cup of water, squeeze, filter c. Rub the scalp and hair while massaging lightly d. Wait for 1 hour. Wash until clean Source : BSE – SMK TKR 2008 3). Turnip (Raphanus sativus L.) a. Take the root of fresh turnip (lobak) medium size b. Wash it, grate, squeeze, and filter c. Rub the bald scalp with this liquid, massage lightly. d. 4). Pandan wangi (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.) a. Take 10 pieces of young waru leaf, a fistful of urang-aring leaf, 5 pieces of mangkokan, 1 piece of pandan leaf, 10 pieces of jasmine bud 1 piece of rose. Wash them, cut. b. Add with sesame oil, coconut oil, nutmeg oil, each ½ cup c. Heat until boiling. filter, rub to the scalp while Sumber : BSE – SMK TKR 2008 massaging lightly . d. In the morning, wash until clean 5). Mangkokan (Nothopanax scutellarium Merr.) a. Take 5-10 pieces of the old fresh leaf b. Crush until smooth. Add with coconut oil until like porridge, filter and squeeze c. 6). Banana (Musa paradisiaca L.) a. Take the hump of banana, chop or grate, squeeze b. Or, make a hole at the hump left in the earth. c. Take the liquid, rub the scalp and hair with it d. Do it everyday. 7). Water melon (Citrullus vulgaris Schrad) a. Take the inside skin of water melon which Source : BSE – SMK TKR 2008 has color white b. Scrub it on the scalp thoroughly c. Do it in the morning and in the afternoon Bonggol yang tidak bisa dipakai adalah bonggol pisang susu. Ambil bonggol pisang,cincang/parut diperas - Atau membuat lubang pada bonggol yang tertinggal di dalam tanah - Ambil cairannya, basahi kulit kepala dan rambut sambil pijat ringan - Lakukan setiap hari. b. Cosmetics which prevent the occurrence of white hair 1). Papaya (Carica papaya L.) a. Take 30 dried seeds of papaya, fry without oil b. crush until smooth c. Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, stir well d. Rub it on the scalp which has white hair e. Wait for 1 night. In the morning, wash it until clean Source : BSE – SMK TKR 2008 2). Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) a. Take the leaf of rambutan, wash it b. Crush until smooth, add some water c. squeeze and filter with cloth d. Wet the hair with this liquid. c. Cosmetics which change the color of hair 1). Pandan wangi (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.) a. Take 7 leaves of pandan wangi b. Wash it clean and cut c. Boil with 1 liter of water until the color is green d. Expose to dew for 1 night e. Mix it with the extract of 3 ripe mengkudu f. This mixture is used to wash hair Source : BSE-SMK TKR 2008 2). Kangkung (Ipomoea aquatica forsk), a. Take fresh kangkung, wash until clean b. Cut, add water, boil until boiling c. After cold, wet the hair with this mixture after washing it before Seni Kerajinan dan Pariwisata
