2 Expressing Sympathy (menyatakan simpati)
Expressing sympathy used to show our sympathy to someone of event that happen to them, good news or bad news.  (Expressing sympathy digunakan untuk menyatakan rasa simpati kepada seseorang atas suatu kejadian, baik kabar menggembirakan atau tidak.)

3 Expression of sympathy to something pleasure:
- I’m very glad to hear that. - Nice to hear that. - I’m happy for you then. - Great! - Fantastic! Expression of sympathy to something displeasure: - I am (very) sorry to hear that. - Please accept my condolences. - I know how you feel. - You must be very upset. - How awful! RESPONDS: Thanks / Thank you. Right. You’re right. EXAMPLE: Tiara    : Why do you look so upset? Adit    : It’s been a hard day today. It was raining when I went to school.

4 Expressing Compliment
Expressing compliment is a used to give an appreciation for people who have Reached a goal or because of his ability and or because of the success they have. (Expressing compliment adalah digunakan untuk memberikan apresiasi bagi orang-orang yang telah Mencapai tujuan atau karena kemampuan dan atau karena keberhasilan mereka miliki)

5 Expressing Compliment         
- You’re doing great/you did great.. - What a (beautiful, lovely, etc) - It look good on you - I think you look good in…. - I love… - It’s very/so - Good job/great - I (really) like your…. - I think you are very great - That’s a (nice, lovely, good, etc.)… RESPONS: - Thank you - Do you think so? - Thanks a lot - It’s very kind of you say that - it is nice/kind of you to say so/that - I’m glad you like it

6 After we use the phrase above,
we should always use an adjective, such as: - Exelent - Great                     - Wonderful - nice - Good EXAMPLE: Dewi: Tomi. You look great today! I love your new hair style. Tomi: Thank you very much, Dewi. You look great, too.

7 Describing Someone Describing Someone is describe a person of character and physical appearance. (Describing Someone adalah menggambarkan seseorang dari sifatnya dan penampilan fisiknya)

8 Characteristics (Sifat)
- clever : pintar - diligent : rajin - kind : baik hati - nice : menyenangkan - intelligent : cerdas - lazy : malas - patient : sabar - smart : cerdas - talented : bertalenta - attracted : menarik EXAMPLE: 1.you look so pretty 2. She has pointed nose 3. He has straight hair and blonde hair
