3 IDENTIFICATION OF THE PROBLEMS PURPOSES OF THE RESEARCH
BACKGROUND Diarrhea is one of the disease environmental based and is the biggest health problems in Indonesia. Diarrhea can be caused by the bad condition of sanitation , physical environment and the low the behavior of the people to clean and healthy living, poor water quality can also lead to diarrhea. IDENTIFICATION OF THE PROBLEMS What is the quality of the water that was used in the village of Penyambaran? What is the relationship betwen sanitary and diarrhea ? - To know the quality of the water that was used in the village of Penyambaran? - To know the relationship of sanitation with the diarrheal diseases PURPOSES OF THE RESEARCH

8 Discussion People in the village of Penyambaran using three water such as river water, dug well and water well. From the data obtained a total of diarrheal disease patients numbered are 36 peoples from three households in the village. The test results of Laboratory examination showed total coliform number of coliform bacteria in rivers and water well is about ≥ 1898 and on dug wells total source the coliform is 0.

Based on the results we get, the cause of diarrhea in the village of Penyambaran several factors, namely: 1. A lack of knowledge about diarrhea 2. Neighborhood 3. Sanitation still not good

10 Conclusion Suggestion
Based on research results obtained total coliform of three water source in the village of Penyambaran including the river and water well there are bacteria coliform exceeding the threshold . Caused by sanitation management still not good in the village of Penyambaran People should be more care to environmental sanitation residence and boiling the water before drink so that no have bacteria in the water.
