3 The main component of the rotor of a generator is a magnet. This magnet can be either a permanent magnet or a magnet generated by using a coil. In generators that use coils as artificial magnets, it takes an electric current that flows into the coil. The process of generating artificial magnetic field in this generator is called the excitation process.

4 EXITATION SYSTEM Excitation system is a DC power supply system as a reinforcement on an electric generator or as a magnetic field generator, so a generator can generate electrical energy with a large output voltage generator depending on the magnitude of the excitation current.
