2 Behavioral Interview Behavioral interview is an employment interview during which a job applicant is asked to demonstrate his or her knowledge, skills and abblities also known as competencies. The applicant must tell about specific experieces when he or she demonstrated these competencies. The purpose of a behavioral interview is to allow the interviewer to determine whether a candidate posseses the competencies to perform a particular job

3 Preparing for a Behavioral Interview  Determine what competencies the employer is looking for read through the job description  if you're working with a recruiter, talk to him or her  research the company to learn about it  Come up with examples of how you've demonstrated those competencies on past jobs. try to answer some of sample questions that follow, using spesific example

4 If its possible take some time off between job, maybe a week or two you'll need this time to separate from your previous workplace. leaving co workers behind can be very difficult. the number of hours spent at work far exceeds the number of hours spent anywhere else. The relationship, good and bad are usually very strong ones. Sometimes it can be very crazy, and other times it can be like a big dysfunctional family. You may not always like those you work with. sometimes you can barely tolerate them. But, you get used to being arround the same people day after day. Getting Ready Take the time you have off to do some research. Learn all you can about your new employer. Learn about their product line, their philosophies, and their corporate culture. call around to see if anyone in your network knows any of your future co workers and ask that person to introduce you prior to your first day. Plan what you're going to wear during the first week of work. Remember you'll wan't to wear you most conservative outfits to start off, until you figure out what appopriate and what isn't. See what needs to go to the dry cleaner or the tailor, what needs to be washed and ironed, and what needs to be replaced. This will save you from having to take care of those thing when you may be coming home tired. That first week of a new job can be pyshically and emotionally exhausting.Plan the route you'll take to work as well as some alternate routes. Should there be traffic, if a train line is out of service, you'll be glad you did this.

5 Tips for Interview The interview should be dressed formally, and not casually. have a plessing appereance as the candidate's personality is a significant part of communication Practice, practice and practice in advance, prepare and reharse for the unexpected also Always carry an extra CV, a notepad to write on, a pen, and all esentials things required in an interview Research a lot about the organization for which you are being interviewed As soon as the interview gets over, pen down the name of the interviewer, your strength and weakness, answer to question raised by you during the interview and the feedback of the interview Your body language should be possitive during the interview. maintain an eye to eye contact with the interviewer, sit in well balanced and confident posture, do not lean on the table, not yawn, smile when appopriate, ets.
