3 Maksud dan Tujuan World Class University (WCU) Ranking  Suatu media untuk mengukur REPUTASI dan PERSEPSI suatu perguruan tinggi serta membuat perguruan tinggi menjadi bersifat GLOBAL dan mempunyai INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS  Universitas yang Besar, mempunyai beberapa kriteria:  Excellence in education of their students  Research, development and dissemination of knowledge  Activities contributing to the cultural, scientific, and civic life of society 3

4 THE-QS World University Rankings Academic Peer Review 40%  Academics indicate which field they specialise in and then list up to 30 universities they regard as leaders in this field.  Composite score drawn from peer review survey (which is divided into five subject areas). Results compiled based on three years’ worth of responses totaling 6,354 in 2008.  Safeguards against individuals voting for their own university strengthened.  Rise of Asian universities is least apparent in this ranking. International Staff 5%  Score calculated based on the proportion of Full Time Equivalent (FTE) faculty that are international. Employer Review 10%  Score based on responses to employer survey. 2,339 responses in 2008.  Recruiter names are sourced through QS databases, media partners and partner schools & universities.  Responses are weighted by region to reach a final score. Staff/Student 20%  Score based simply on the student faculty ratio, the higher the number of faculty per student the higher the score.  Full- and part-time numbers for staff and students obtained; FTEs used throughout as far as possible. Citation/Staff 20%  Score based on research performance factored against the size of the research body.  Five years of publication data with citations from Scopus.  Number of citations is divided by the number of FTE staff to give an indication of the density of research. 15 Size (S)  20%  Jumlah halaman website yang tertangkap oleh empat Search Engines: Google, Yahoo, Live Search/Bing, dan Exalead.  Bagaimana agar bisa terindeks oleh search engine tersebut?  Size atau ukuran dari domain institusi (*.undip.ac.id) adalah merupakan kombinasi dari jumlah halaman website yang online dari website (.html dan non html) dan jumlah domain.  Size merupakan jumlah hasil pencarian untuk site:undip.ac.id  Bagaimana agar jumlah halaman menjadi banyak dan domain lebih besar? 15

16 Visibility (V)  50%  Visibility merupakan jumlah eksternal link yang unik (backlink) yang diterima oleh domain *.undip.ac.id (inlinks) yang tertangkap oleh empat search engines (Yahoo, Google, Live Search/bing, dan Exalead)  Pencarian: links:undip.ac.id di google   Bagaimana meningkatkan visibility? 16

17 Scholar (Sc)  15%  Google Scholar memberikan data mengenai Jumlah paper dan Jumlah Sitasi untuk setiap domain akademik.  Kebanyakan file-file dokumen (PDF, DOC, atau PPT) dapat terindeks di Google Scholar.  URL dari Google Scholar : http://scholar.google.com  UNDIP Institutional Repository (UNDIP-IR) (http://eprints.undip.ac.id ) sudah otomatis terindeksasi di Google Scholar  Kata kunci: diponegoro university atau universitas diponegoro   Bagaimana meningkat jumlah paper yang online dan tertangkap oleh Google Scholar? 17

18 Rich Files (R)  15%  Rich Files merupakan jumlah file dokumen (Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), Adobe PostScript (.ps), Microsoft Word (.doc) and Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt), dan tidak termasuk xls or latex or tex) yang online di bawah domain *.undip.ac.id yang tertangkap oleh Search Engines.  Rich files sangat relevan karena menunjukkan komitmen Universitas untuk scholarly communication terhadap publik.  File dokumen tersebut harus bersifat OPEN ACCESS.   Bagaimana cara meningkatkan jumlah file dokumen yang online? 18

20 IMPROVING VISIBILITY (50%)  Menambah jumlah External links / backlink (tetapi harus terindeks oleh Google, Yahoo, Live Search dan Exalead):  BEM/HM/Organisasi Mhs on Facebook  pages  Buat Kolaborasi international  to be visible in world universities  contoh: KESEMAT  Buat International Students Event  event website  Buat artikel yang menarik di blog  orang lain akan merujuk  Buat blog di wordpress.com  buat hyperlink ke http://undip.ac.id  Buat artikel Reportase di KOMPASIANA.COM, setiap ada kata “undip” buat hyperlink ke http://undip.ac.id, atau yang lainnya.  Buat komentar di artikel-artikel KOMPASIANA.COM, di dalam komentar buat hyperlink ke domain http://undip.ac.id 20

24 STANDARISASI WEBSITE  Improving Website Performances:  Website code harus standard compliant (W3C )  Website code dapat diakses oleh semua browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.) dan mobile browsers  Website code tidak boleh terlalu banyak Java Script  sulit ter-crawl oleh search engine  Website seharusnya berisi informasi selengkap- lengkapnya tentang jurusan atau program studi  Website Language: Indonesia and English (MUST)  Alamat URL harus sederhana dan search engine friendly  Dilengkapi dengan sitemap 24

25 Pendaftaran situs di Google Scholar  Alamat situs: http://www.google.com/support/scholar/bin/request.py  Sebelum mendaftarkan situs untuk dimasukan ke dalam Google Scholar, pastikan web tersebut telah memenuhi persyaratan yang telah ditetapkan.  Jika persyaratan tidak terpenuhi, maka proses pencatatan artikel akan ditunda atau situs tersebut akan ditolak untuk dimasukan ke dalam index Google Scholar.  Untuk mempelajari lebih lanjut tentang Google Scholar, dapat dipelajari informasi untuk penerbit pada alamat berikut : http://www.google.com/scholar/publishers.html 25
