5 Negara Penghasil SDA Minyak  Sebagian besar negara penghasil minyak mentah adalah negara anggota Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) yang memproduksi 40% minyak dunia, menyediakan 80% cadangan sumber daya kelompok, dan 85% di antaranya adalah negara-negara Timur Tengah

6 Perang Teluk Persia  Diawali dengan Perang 8 tahun antara Irak dan Iran  Invasi Irak ke Kuwait akibat perebutan Ladang Minyak Rumeyla  melibatkan PBB dan Amerika Serikat  Invasi Amerika Serikat ke Irak 2003

7 Laut Kaspia  Terjadi sejak perang dingin  Setelah Uni soviet runtuh, laut kaspia dibatasi oleh 5 negara  Iran memperoleh wilayah yang sedikit

8 Kesimpulan  Minyak merupakan 62 persen sumber energi dunia  Pengguna sumberdaya minyak sebanyak 65-70 persen adalah Amerika Serikat, Jepang dan Uni Eropa, serta negara- negara berkembang  Sebanyak 40 persen penghasil minyak adalah negara anggota OPEC, dan 85 persen di antaranya adalah negara Timur Tengah  Adanya dependensi antara negara penghasil minyak dengan Amerika

9 Cont.  Minyak justru memunculkan instabilitas politik di negara-negara penghasil minyak dikarenakan adanya intervensi negara besar dalam pengolahanya, dengan kepentingan untuk penguasaan ekonomi.
