Chatting dalam internet ada 2 jenis cara, yaitu melalui IRC dan Chat berbasis Web ( melalui situs ). Chat melalui IRC menggunakan program mIRc atau beberapa Chat Script seperti ShanKar Script. 5 Cara Melakukan Chatting
Berikut adalah langkah-langkah untuk melakukan chatting : 1. Buka program Messenger, klik All Programs. 2. Pilih Yahoo! Messenger, klik Yahoo! Messenger atau double klik pada shortcut icon di desktop. 3. Pilih dan double klik nama teman yang akan diajak chatting. 4. 6 4/8/2017 3:54 AM WebCam & VOiP Webcam merupakan fasilitas yang disediakan Messenger untuk dapat saling melihat lawan bicara sehingga para pengguna Messenger akan dapat bertatap muka secara langsung dengan lawan bicaranya. Namun, untuk dapat menggunakan fasilitas ini, Anda dan lawan bicara Anda harus memiliki kamera baik internal ataupun external. Selain bisa menggunakan kamera untuk melihat wajah lawan bicara, messenger juga mempunyai fasilitas komunikasi menggunakan suara yang dinamakan fasilitas VOiP. Dengan VOiP Anda bisa berkomunikasi dengan lawan bicara selayaknya Anda bertelepon dan biayanya lebih murah. Namun fasilitas ini baru bisa digunakan jika koneksi internet yang Anda pakai dalam akses kecepatan tinggi, dan tentunya itu pun juga masih terdapat gangguan-gangguan kecil. © 2007 Microsoft Corporation.
