Juga membahas konsep dan penerapan SI sebagai competitive advantage dilihat dari perilaku, aspek managerial dan aspek teknik. Membahas mengenai konsep dan pengembangan dan kegiatan manajerial TI termasuk didalamnya perangkat keras, perangkat lunak komputer, jaringan informasi, teknologi sumber-sumber manajemen data dsb. Membahas mengenai penggunaan internet dan TI untuk area bisnis, termasuk didalamnya mendukung proses bisnis, e-business, inisiatif-inisiatif e-commerce dan disicion support system.
