POSITIVE AGREEMENT: TOO-SO Untuk menunjukan bahwa seseorang (someone) atau sesuatu (thing) berbuat sesuatu dan kemudian orang lain berbuat hal yang sama. “Too” ditempatkan di belakang auxiliary, sedangkan “so” ditempatkan di depan auxiliary

1. Jika dalam suatu induk kalimat terdapat be (is/am/are/was/were), be langsung digunakan dalam pernyataan (statement) berikutnya Formula affirmative statement (be) + and + subject + be + too affirmative statement (be) + and + so + be + subject I am happy and he is too I am happy and so is he Example: They were late and we were too They were late and so were we

2. Jika dalam suatu kalimat terdpat modal auxiliary (can, may, must, will, have dan lain-lain) modal auxiliary langsung digunakan Formula: Affirmaative statement + and + subject + auxiliary + too atau Affirmaative statement + and so + auxiliary + subject Example: You will work in the laboratory and I will too You will work in the laboratory and so will I He can speak English and my sister can too He can speak English and so can my sister

3. Jika dalam satu kalimat tidak terdapat be (is/am/are/was/were) atau auxiliary verb, gunakan “do/does/did” dalam pernyataan Formula: Affirmative statement + and + subject + do/does/did + too atau Affirmative statement + and + so + do/does/did + subject Example: She speaks englsih and I do to She speaks English and so do I I worked 5 days a week and he did too I worked 5 days a week and so did he

NEGATIVE AGREEMENT: EITHER – NEITHER “Either” ditempatkan di belakang auxiliary, sedangkan “Neither” ditempatkan di depan auxiliary
