Amanda Todd A few years ago, a girl named Amanda Todd posted a video of her story and committed suicide a few months after. She was online chatting with a stranger who asks her to show her breasts. She proceeded showing it to him. A week after, there was a facebook account that was made under her name with her breasts as her profile picture. Turns out the stranger screenshotted her breasts. The week after, the people in the school that she attended, found out and started bullying, hating, on her. She finally moved to different school. Not long after, they found out about it too.. Because the stranger told them.
Amanda Todd She received more hate, death treats, people telling her to drink bleach so she can die, people telling her that she’s useless. On October 10, 2012, the 15 year old Amanda committed suicide. Do you think she deserved to be treated that way because of the mistakes that she did? What would you do to help her and make her not commit suicide?
As teenagers, it is hard to contain our emotions as we are very emotional in high peaks. It is normal to act out tantrums. But once you meet depression, you need to seek help. You can’t keep it to yourself. Keeping it to yourself isn’t gonna help anything but it will lead to making it worse. If you think there is something wrong with you, you should let your parents or closest ones know. If you got told “There is nothing wrong with you, you are a normal teenager” you probably are normal because that is part of a phase.
