NARRATIVE TEXT SNOW WHITE

ORIENTATION COMPLICATION 1 Once upon a time there lived a little girl named Snow White. She lived with her Aunt and Uncle because her parents were dead.  COMPLICATION 1 NARRATIVE TEXT One day she heard her Uncle and Aunt talking about leaving Snow White in the castle because they both wanted to go to America and they didn’t have enough money to take Snow White.

RESOLUTION 1 COMPLICATION 2 Snow White did not want her Uncle and Aunt to do this so she decided it would be best if she ran away. The next morning she ran away from home when her Aunt and Uncle were having breakfast. She ran away into the woods.   NARRATIVE TEXT COMPLICATION 2 Then she saw this little cottage. She knocked but no one answered so she went inside and fell asleep.

RESOLUTION 2 NARRATIVE TEXT Meanwhile, the seven dwarfs were coming home from work. They went inside. There they found Snow White sleeping. Then Snow White woke up. She saw the dwarfs. The dwarfs said, “what is your name?” Snow White said, “My name is Snow White.” Doc, one of the dwarfs,  said, “If you wish, you may live here with us.”  Snow White said, “Oh could I? Thank you.” Then Snow White told the dwarfs the whole story and Snow White and the 7 dwarfs lived happily ever after. NARRATIVE TEXT

Exercise Once upon a time, a hawk fell in love with hen. The hawk flew down from the sky and asked hen, “Won’t you marry me?” The hen loved the brave, strong hawk and wished to marry him. But she said, “I cannot fly as high as you can. If you give me a time, I may learn to fly as high as you. Then we can fly together.” The hawk agreed. Before he went away, he gave hen a ring. “This is to show that you have promised to marry me,” said the hawk. So it happened that the hen had already promised to marry a rooster. So, when the rooster saw the ring, he became very angry. “Throw that ring away at once! Didn’t you tell me the hawk that you’d already promised to marry me?” shouted the rooster. The hen was so frightened at the rooster’s anger that she threw away the ring immediately. When the hawk came the next day, the hen told him the truth. The hawk was so furious that he cursed the hen. “Why didn’t you tell me the earlier? Now, you’ll always be scratching the earth, and I’ll always be flying above you to catch your children,” said the hawk. The curse seems to have come true.

What is the reason of the hawk giving a ring to the hen? Because he wanted the hen kept the promise. Because he only had a ring to be given. Because the hen asked something for gift. Because the hen liked to wear a ring. Because he loved the hen very much.

What happened after the hawk knew the truth? He still loved the hen. He came to the rooster to take the hen. He flew the hen away. He hit the hen. He cursed the hen.
