1 APA PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER?
Pendidikan nilai, pendidikan budi pekerti, pendidikan moral, pendidikan watak yang bertujuan mengembangkan kemampuan peserta didik untuk memberikan keputusan baik-buruk, memelihara apa yang baik dan mewujudkan kebaikan itu dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan sepenuh hati. (Rencana Aksi Nasional Pendidikan Karakter, 2010)

Ilmu Pengetahuan, Budi Pekerti (Akhlak, Karakter), Kreativitas, Inovatif “…pendidikan adalah daya upaya untuk memajukan bertumbuhnya budi pekerti (kekuatan batin, karakter), pikiran (intellect), dan tubuh anak. Contoh CP/LO Iowa’s Targeting Life Skills Wheel As you all have seen by now, youth development emphasizes the development of skills in young people as a means of promoting positive outcomes. Strategies such as the ones we’ve explored can be used to promote the development of these important life skills. The Targeting Life Skills (TLS) Model from Iowa State identifies and divides categories of life skills according to the four H's and includes two categories of life skills within each of these four areas. Some of these life skills are things we’ve heard about today from all of you--like conflict resolution, communication, critical thinking, decision making, healthy lifestyle choices… Here you can clearly see how key ideas in youth development can be conveyed in a framework that allows us to see the overlap of concepts from within the field…
