Riyadhus Shalihin Hadits No 54 Ahmad Fuady

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بنِ مَسْعُوْد رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : عَلَيْكُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ ، فَإِنَّ الصِّدْقَ يَهْدِيْ إِلَى الْبِرِّ ، وَإِنَّ الْبِرَّ يَهْدِيْ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ ، وَمَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ يَصْدُقُ وَيَتَحَرَّى الصِّدْقَ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللهِ صِدِّيْقًا ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ ، فَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ يَهْدِيْ إِلَى الْفُجُوْرِ ، وَإِنَّ الْفُجُوْرَ يَهْدِيْ إِلَى النَّارِ ، وَمَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ يَكْذِبُ وَيَتَحَرَّى الْكَذِبَ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللهِ كَذَّابًا

Who is Abdullah bin Mas’ud? Membunuh Abu Jahal di Perang Badar, dan mengikuti seluruh perang di zaman Rasulullah Killed Abu Jahal at the Battle of Badr and joined all battles in Rasulullah period. “Barang siapa yang ingin membaca Alquran yang baik seperti pertama kali turun, maka bacalah seperti bacaan Abdullah bin Mas’ud.” “Whoever wants to read Qur’an as good as it firstly revealed, read it like Abdullah bin Mas’ud’s reading” (Narrated by Ibn Majah and Ahmad)

Part 2: Matan / Content 'Let you always be honest (do right) honesty (doing right) leads to goodness goodness leads a person to Heaven. If anyone will always be honest (do right) and still choose to be honest (do right), it will be noted on the side of Allah as an honest (right) man. Do not do falsehood falsehood bring someone to evil evil leads a person to Hell. If someone constantly lying and choose to lie, it will be noted on the side of Allah as a liar. '"

What is اَلصِّدْقُ ? اَلصِّدْقُ : jujur : honest دَعْ مَا يَرِيبُكَ إِلَى مَا لاَ يَرِيبُكَ فَإِنَّ الصِّدْقَ طُمَأْنِينَةٌ وَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ رِيبَةٌ Tinggalkanlah yang meragukanmu pada apa yang tidak meragukanmu. Sesungguhnya kejujuran lebih menenangkan jiwa, sedangkan dusta (menipu) akan menggelisahkan jiwa. Leave that doubted you on what is not doubted. Indeed, honesty is more soothing to the soul, whereas a lie (cheat) will agitate the soul.

الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا – أَوْ قَالَ حَتَّى يَتَفَرَّقَا – فَإِنْ صَدَقَا وَبَيَّنَا بُورِكَ لَهُمَا فِى بَيْعِهِمَا ، وَإِنْ كَتَمَا وَكَذَبَا مُحِقَتْ بَرَكَةُ بَيْعِهِمَا Kedua orang penjual dan pembeli masing-masing memiliki hak pilih (khiyar) selama keduanya belum berpisah. Bila keduanya berlaku jujur dan saling terus terang, maka keduanya akan memperoleh keberkahan dalam transaksi tersebut. Sebaliknya, bila mereka berlaku dusta dan saling menutup-nutupi, niscaya akan hilanglah keberkahan bagi mereka pada transaksi itu” Both the seller and the buyer each have the right to vote (khiyar) as long as they have not split up. If both of them to be honest and frank with each other, then both will gain the blessing in the transaction. Conversely, if they apply to each other lies and cover-up, will undoubtedly lose the blessing for those on the deal (Muttafaqun ‘alaih).

مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا، وَالْمَكْرُ وَالْخِدَاعُ فِي النَّارِ “Barangsiapa yang menipu, maka ia tidak termasuk golongan kami. Orang yang berbuat makar dan pengelabuan, tempatnya di neraka” Anyone who cheat, he did not belonged to us. People who plot and deception, his place in hell (HR. Ibnu Hibban, shahih).

What is اَلصِّدْقُ ? اَلصِّدْقُ : integritas, melakukan hal yang benar: integrity, doing the right آيَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلَاث إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ، وَ إِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ، وَ إِذَا اؤْتُمِنَ خَانَ “Tanda orang munafik itu tiga: Jika berucap, ia berdusta, jika berjanji, ia melanggar, dan jika dipercayai, ia mengkhianati” "Signs hypocrites three when he say, he lie; if he promises, he breaks; and if he is trusted, he betrays.“ (HR Al-Bukhari)

O ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true. What is اَلصِّدْقُ ? Apakah jujur dan berintegritas saja membawa kita ke surga? Are honesty and integrity only bring us to the paradise? يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ Hai orang-orang yang beriman bertakwalah kepada Allah, dan hendaklah kamu bersama orang-orang yang benar. O ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true. (QS. At Tawbah: 119). 2 1

What is اَلصِّدْقُ ? اَلصِّدْقُ : dilandasi taqwa: should be based on taqwa لَيْسَ الْبِرَّ أَنْ تُوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَلَكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الأَخِرِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالْكِتَابِ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ وَآتَى الْمَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ ذَوِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَالسَّائِلِينَ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَالْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَاهَدُوا وَالصَّابِرِينَ فِي الْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَحِينَ الْبَأْسِ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ

Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets; gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; establishes prayer; gives zakah; fulfill their promise when they promise; and be patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. Al Baqarah 177

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ يَنْفَعُ الصَّادِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۚ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ Inilah saat orang yang benar memperoleh manfaat dari kebenarannya. Mereka memperoleh surga yang mengalir di bawahnya sungai-sungai, mereka kekal di dalamnya selama-lamanya. Allâh ridha kepada kepada mereka dan mereka pun ridha kepada-Nya. Itulah kemenangan yang agung This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness." For them are gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great attainment. [Al-Mâidah/5:119]
