Perkembangan dalam e-commerce ini telah banyak di aplikasikan dalam per-bisnis-an dan ekonomi. Perkembangan ini antara lain : e-Shopping : Penerapan teknologi internet dalam hal transaksi jual beli ( belanja ) secara online e-Bussiness : Penerapan teknologi internet dalam bidang bisnis seperti dalam transaksi saham dll. e-Banking : Penerapan teknologi internet dalam bidang perbankan secara online misalnya dalam pentransferan uang melalui internet. Kelebihan e-Commerce adalah, kita bisa mengembangkan usaha kita dalam hal promosi, pelayanan dan kemudahan-kemudahan lain bagi perusahaan atau bagi konsumer secara online.
