2 Organizational Culture (1) The way we do things around hereThe shared philosophies, ideologies, values, assump-tions, beliefs, experiences, attitudes and norms that knit a community together (Kilman, Sexton and Serpa, 1985: 5)A pattern of basic assumptions – invented, discovered or developed by a given group as it learns to cope with ist problems of external adaptation and internal integration – that has worked well enough to be considered valid and, therefore, to be taught to new members as the correct way to perceive, think and feel in relation to this problems (Schein, 1985: 9)
